My skincare philosophy
When it comes to beauty products category, makeup is the first thing that comes to our minds. Indeed, makeup is something we see, in the sense that it adds paint on our faces, be it lipstick, blush or eyeliner. We have all been charmed by shimmery and glittery eyeshadows and fancy lip colours. However, there is a much more important category of products that belong to the beauty family, and that is the skincare products. I have broken down the components of my skincare, presenting you my skincare philosophy, and where I spend more or less money. Good skincare makes our faces glow from within. It helps bring out the…

My all-time favourite nail polish top coat :: Poshé Top Coat
Hello there and say hello to an unsung hero of top coats! It is the Poshé super-fast drying top coat. I wanted to make a whole post dedicated to it because I don’t think that the beauty community has praised it enough. It is indeed super-fast drying, you can apply it even if the previous nail polish layer is not 100% dry. Why it is my favourite It starts drying right after I finish applying it (you have to be a bit quick with it, not crazy quick, but if you start taking your time to apply it, it will start setting before you finish) Consequently, you can do stuff…
My Night-Time Skincare Routine
I used to be the person that did not pay attention to their skincare regimen. I am glad my mum advised me to wear a daily moisturiser since my early twenties. If it wasn’t for her I don’t know when I would have started wearing it. It was some years later, that I decided I had to take care of my skin, if I didn’t want it to age too soon. Skincare is the cornerstone of beauty in the sense that if you treat your skin nice, you won’t need many or even any makeup products. So, here is my night-time skincare routine, which I hope will give you some…

They are both very classic eyeshadows and I like classics because they never go out of style! For mascara, I use…
How to clean your brushes so they hold their shape
I certainly do love good quality brushes. I love applying makeup and good brushes take the experience to a whole new level. As a result, I have invested in my brushes and I do not regret it. The reason I invest in them is that I want to them to serve me as long as possible. Because of that, I take good care of them, and I developed a cleaning routine that helps them hold their shape without any brush guards. ( I am not against using them, I am just happy with my routine and I feel I do not need them). I do not do anything exaggerated or…
Rae Morris Brushes First Impressions
I love Japanese craftsmanship and having heard a lot about Rae Morris brushes, I decided to give them a go when Cult Beauty made them available in Europe.I went ahead and ordered five of them (thank goodness Cult Beauty had a promo code available at the time and that made the purchase easier. I am not going to lie, they are bloody expensive!). So, there you go, my Rae Morris brushes first impressions! Some history Rae Morris is a renowned makeup artist and she has brought out makeup brushes made in Japan since approximately 2012. Ever since there have been three versions of the brushes. My Brow Technique for Natural Brows
As a nineties kid, I grew up in the small, thin eyebrow trend. Luckily, I didn’t pluck my whole eyebrows off, however, I still wish I had been a little more “frugal”! Yes, let’s put it that way, haha! I like my eyebrows, but there are a few points where they are more sparse. There is not a huge need to fill them in, but I do like them more when I give them the proper attention. However, filling them in with a pencil takes a bit of time if you want to make them look natural. So, what do you do when you are in a hurry and still…
Pocket Beauty
You certainly know my love for miniatures and travel size products! I love the fact that you can take them anywhere and fit them all in a small makeup bag. Here are some of my favourite mini makeup products that can fit everywhere. Cheers to pocket beauty! Base Becca First Light Priming Filter. Years ago I had seen a YouTuber apply a purple hued primer by Etude House, and I thought it was such a clever idea for brightening the skin of your face. When this primer went out by Becca, I was so excited, because it was a brand available in Europe. Foundation slides beautifully on it and it…
